SPEEDING INTO MODERNITY

I traveled into the jungles of Ecuador with several reels of black & white film, with no clue what I would bring back with me. While there, I met the Waorani people who lived by the headwaters of the Amazon. I noticed aspects of American culture seeping into their everyday lives (clothing, products, etc.), yet they are a vibrant group of people who have maintained traditional ways of living.
